In addition to following the instructions in the doc you need to enable WebDAV on the web server – this is done via the “Add/Remove Windows Component” applet. Go under IIS and select WebDav Publishing. Also if using a self-signed cert make sure you log in with slxservice (or whatever user is doing the sync service) and install the certificate (just connect to the ssl website with IE while logged in as slxservice and install the cert)

Does this make any sense? I have the popup blocker turned OFF but the darn thing is still blocking popups.

By the way I ended up reimaging the machine (for an unrelated reason) so I got IE6 back, and you can bet your ass I won’t be upgrading again until I get Vista (which will probably not be for another year or 2 on the laptop). I rarely ever use IE itself – rather I use Firefox with IETabs to get at pages that are designed for IE only.
